How To Write Your Unique Love Story

"Every love story is different but ours is my favorite."

Every single Love Story is unique and beautiful, no matter how long or short. The goal of Happy Little Vows is to share every kind of Love Story from all around the world to inspire happiness and romance - and ultimately, spread the love. Real and raw, no Love Story is the same, so why not share yours with the world.

Have a Love Story you want to write and share with the world? Here's how:

1. Start with the core questions: How did you meet? How long have you been married? And your advice to newlyweds for a long and happy marriage.

2. Tell your unique story. Here's some suggestion writing prompt ideas to inspire you:

What did you think of each other when you first met?

Who said "I love you" first?

Where was your first date?

What was your first date like?

What is your favorite thing about your spouse?

When did you know they were the one?

How did they propose?

Favorite holiday you've been on together?

How would you describe your spouse?

What was your wedding like and what was your favorite bit?

Where did you honeymoon?

What is your favorite part about being married to your partner?

Did you have children?

Did anyone ever give you marriage advice that impacted your relationship? Is so, what was the advice?

Was there a particular hard part you both overcame together?

Where do you see your future heading with each other?

What has your journey been like together since getting hitched?

What's been your favorite part of being married?

NOTE: Your Love Story can be as long or as short as you'd like as long as it's yours.

3. Send your story to LoveStory@happylittlevows.com with:

- photo of you both before you were married

- wedding picture

- photo of you both now (or recent)

- any other favorite photos you wish to share

WRITING TIP: If you're having a hard time writing your story, try telling your story into the recording app on your phone, sometimes it's easier to get the words out this way. Then you can dictate what you said onto the page and edit how you like. OR, you can always record it interview style with your spouse and send it in like an interview - this is always fun!
