MasterClass - the cool course phenomenon sweeping the world, all taught by 85+ of the worlds best celebrity professionals. If you already have it, you know why you love it and can't get enough of it. If you've been thinking about it, all I can say is "What are you waiting for?!" And if you're thinking about gifting MasterClass, this is the gift that keeps on giving and makes a fantastic Anniversary Gift they will love. As a HUGE advocate for continued learning and gifting education, MasterClass has quickly become my go-to gift, my drive-time entertainment and my down-time curiosity. I have gifted MasterClass to two friends who also love its courses and constantly send me photos of themselves doing classes or mock-blaming me as they put together a new compost system or plant potatoes after watching Ron Finley.

I purchased MasterClass when I was writing my first novel and realized I had no idea what I was doing. There were classes by esteemed authors like Margaret Atwood, James Patterson and Dan Brown - all of whom's secrets I knew could get me to my 85,000 words. So, I purchased an All Access Annual Pass thinking I might learn something, anything. Instead, I learnt ALOT. Classes that I thought would be tid-bits (because what HUGE writers are going to tell you everything?!), were instead in-depth secrets and strategies that would shape the way that I now write and made the written word easy and enjoyable. And when I decided to start my website, Happy Little Vows, beginning was made all the more easy by Sara Blakely's Self-Made Entrepreneurship masterclass and the boost of confidence by Robin Roberts. I was ready to go. But MasterClass is not just for writers, my partner uses it for music and my best friends watch the acting classes and the other, business and fashion. There truly is something for everyone in MasterClass, which is why it makes such a fantastic gift - plus you'll get to enjoy learning with your love. Bonus!

Below, I have made a list of my top 10 courses from MasterClass. Enjoy!

Full disclosure: As much as I wish I had, I have not yet watched every class MasterClass has to offer (there are 80+ masterclasses and over 1000 lessons), so there will be amazing courses that are not on this list. But let me know in the comments if there's a masterclass you love that's not on my list and I will watch it. This is one of the parts of MasterClass that I love, knowing that there's still more to learn and more masterclasses being added - you definitely get your money's worth!

This masterclass BLEW ME AWAY! I will confess, I can pretty much kill any plant I come into contact with - well not any more! Ron Finley's story is amazing and his class is incredible. From making dream soil to different plant types, to creating a herb garden, planting and composting, you will learn everything you need to create your dream garden and be able to grow food. Everyone I know who has finished this class has RAVED about it, and then gone off to create their own garden and compost system.

Sara Blakely's course helped me in so many ways. She walks you through her journey of starting Spanx from its inception to growing Spanx into the empire she has now and teaches you how to do the same. I love that she doesn't make it rosy and shows you the struggle. There's no beating around the bush in this course, but that's not to say she isn't personable, fun and can laugh at herself. Sara Blakely lets you know the mistakes she went through, so you don't have to go through the same. From creation, to business name, to manufacturing secrets, it's all here when you're ready to create.

Getting to those 85,000 words with quality writing is hard. This masterclass was incredibly helpful. Throughout the course, you feel as if James Patterson is your best friend you're meeting for a cup of coffee. The strategies I learnt from his class were unbelievably constructive and inspiring. While he teaches you the basics of writing, he also teaches you how to pick an enticing title and how to create a story that will grab a hold of the reader and grip them until the end. I loved this course and was mesmerized by the information he gave, which, just like his writing, had you on the hook the entire course.

Annie Leibovitz is a true artist. While there are so many photographers out there with their gadgets and lighting, Annie pulls back the reins and teaches you how to use your eye and find the naturalness in a world that's not so natural any more. I found her love for humanity humbling and her no fluff approach inspiring. From lighting techniques to angles to capturing something inside of every person, this course is fantastic for anyone intersted in photography and the woman behind the lens.

Empowering and thoughtful, Robin Roberts' course teaches you how to use your own strengths to grow not only your self, but grow a life you dream of through communication. Stock up on tissues for this masterclass; through her truth, understanding and her own example of authenticity, she will have you balling your eyes out with her story. Robin Roberts is a much needed reminder of perspective and compassion in life, something we all need in these covid times.

If I could have eaten my television, I would have. Dominique Ansel's French Pastry cooking masterclass is a step-by-step guide to becoming that friend everyone invites over for dinner just for your dessert. The classes are done in such an approachable and easy way, there's literally nothing you cannot make in this course if you have a little time and it all looks like delectable art.

My partner is so lucky we're on the verge of moving. After watching this, I was ready to redesign our interiors. But don't worry, I'm ready, I've started making little boards of colors, fabrics and metals the way she teaches. When the time comes, watch out new home, I'll be ready. From picking design aesthetic, to colors, to size ratio and setting, Kelly Wearstler teaches you how to create a look that is truly you in the most attainable and surprising way. You'll be saying a lot of "Why haven't I done that?!" throughout this masterclass.

In a world where it's easier to live in our imagination than face realities right now, Margaret Atwood is a much needed wake up call. From the woman who brought us The Handmaids Tale, she teaches you how to find stories within harsh realities. This course really touched me and made find a problem I could try to fix in the world. Inspiring and motivational, Margaret Atwood's course will not only teach you the basics of writing, but teach you how you can make the world a better place through it, all with tips and tricks on how to accomplish your novel.

Chris Voss has completely changed the way I talk and negotiate. I had a job interview recently with two completely different corporate-type leaders and I managed to create a fantastic report with both. How? I used Chris Voss' techniques. From negotiation to being the most interesting person in the room, Chris Voss gives seemingly simple techniques that will change your life for the better.

This masterclass was more of a story-telling and it was fascinating to say the least. From childhood, to Oingo Boingo, to his start is film scoring to now, this man has done a lot in his life. A wonderful insight into the mind that has created the music we all sing on the regular (I know I'm not the only one pretending to be Jack Skellington weekly, right?!). Not only do we get his story, but he teaches us how to create a musical character and his trick on getting a score finished with a time limit. Just brilliant!

In all honesty, I could have added so many more masterclasses to this list, but if I did that, there wouldn't be a short list. Gifting MasterClass as an Anniversary Gift is a sure fire way to stimulate your souse's mind, set their heart alight and have them laying new steps towards their dreams. Next up on my watchlist is Anna Wintour and Martin Scorsese - check back to see if there's any changes to this list over time, I'll keep updating the more I watch and soon, you and your love will be able to create your own MasterClass favorites list.
