How to Create the Perfect Winter Date Night Table

The air may have become frosty and cold, but the best part about winter is it allows us to snuggle up and get close to the one we love. We may be heading into an isolated winter with our other half so we thought, why not use this time to create a winter date night table to set the mood. While dining in the crisp air under the stars whilst wrapped up in some cozy blankets may not be as appropriate in your location as it is for us in California, you can bring this tablescape indoors for the perfect indoor winter date night table. Add some candles or string lights to create warmth to the setting and ta-da, a romantic date night table - just take this table designs plate settings down to two for a more intimate setting. Recreate this table at home on a budget using your own household items, mixing some of the key pieces from our list or using all the items on our Winter Table. For our collaboration we styled this table with a setting of four, which in the future will be great for a double-date or winter party with friends, but for date night, you can copy this table with a romantic setting of two instead. Here's what we used to set the mood:

Styled with cloth napkins, we folded them in an envelope style to insert the flatware inside and added a sprig of fresh rosemary to the fold which creates a natural winter look and aromatic scent to the table. Adding fresh herbs and plants from your garden to your place holder, napkin design and table layout is a great way to incorporate that seasonal outdoor aesthetic whether eating inside or out.
